The Wala Usik Challenge 2022: #HackThePackaging, a virtual hackathon organized by the Philippine Reef and Rainforest Conservation Foundation, Inc. (PRRCFI), to call for ideas to take the waste out of packaging, and packaging out of waste, in order to achieve the goal towards a circular economy.

After the successful event of the COP26 conference, on the afternoon of November 16, Minister Tran Hong Ha and Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh had a meeting with units of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to deploy the work to “prepare” for the shift of investment flows, taking advantage of opportunities to change growth models to meet sustainable development goals.

On January 24th, 2022, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Viet Nam Administration of Sea and Islands (VASI) under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment organized the campaign “From the Mountains to the Sea – Beat Plastic Pollution” and honored the winning works from the photo contest “Plastic Pollution Story”. The new campaign calls for action to reduce, reuse, and recycle single-use plastic waste.

Chatham House 3rd Annual Circular Economy Conference will be organized online, on Thursday, February 24, 2022. The Conference will build on research by Chatham House, and others, to drive forward an inclusive circular economy agenda and promote a just transition to circular economic models.
