Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha receives Ms. Grete Lochen, Norwegian Ambassador to Viet Nam
Minister Tran Hong Ha noted that under the close guidance of Ambassador Grete Lochen, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Viet Nam has always been one of the important partners with regular cooperation with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
The Ambassador has always accompanied and actively supported Viet Nam in the field of natural resources and environment and climate change response. especially promoting cooperation, attracting support and investment from Norwegian partners as well as businesses for programs that are important to Viet Nam’s climate change response and sustainable development. In particular, with the support and efforts of the Ambassador, we have successfully organized the International Conference on Sustainable Ocean Economy and Climate Change Adaptation, which is highly appreciated by the international community.
The Minister also noted that Norway through UNDP will cooperate in the field of marine spatial planning with Viet Nam. Minister Tran Hong Ha would like to thank the close support and cooperation of the Ambassador and colleagues at the Norwegian Embassy.
The Minister hopes that, in the coming time, cooperation between Norway and Viet Nam in the field of environment, climate change adaptation, renewable energy through Norwegian enterprises investing in offshore wind power projects… will continue to be strongly developed to support Viet Nam in fulfilling its commitments at COP26.
