Roles and trends in applying standards to promote circular economy implementation and recommendations for Vietnam
Circular economy is a policy approach that helps planners and managers recognize the operation of the economy and find complete solutions to promote society’s adoption of circular economy. Many different policy tools are being discussed and applied in countries around the world such as green public procurement, extended producer responsibilities (EPRs), green finance, green labels, preferential support measures, tax/fee… One of the tools that plays an important role in promoting the application of circular economy is “standards and regulations”. The article analyzes the role and significance of approaches to standards, regulations, and standards development trends to promote the application of circular economy and recommendations for Vietnam.
