The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, along with partners like Unilever Vietnam, the British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam (BritCham), and the Vietnam Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Fund (SVF), launched an exciting new program on April 12th: the Plastic Circular Innovation Solutions Program 2024.
Are you a problem-solver with a passion for the environment?
This program is looking for two types of participants:
- Individuals (Vietnamese citizens at home or abroad): Do you have ideas, models, or solutions to tackle plastic waste, especially packaging (both rigid and flexible) that can work in Vietnam? Even if you haven’t started a business yet, your ideas are welcome!
- Organizations in Vietnam: Are you developing prototypes or technology to improve plastic packaging waste collection, sorting, treatment, and recycling, particularly for flexible packaging?
How will your solutions be judged?
The program will consider two categories:
- Innovative and Creative Ideas: This category recognizes fresh approaches and creative solutions that are practical for the Vietnamese market.
- Promising Solutions: This category rewards solutions with existing prototypes that are being tested and developed for the Vietnamese market.
Seven key factors will be evaluated:
- How original and effective is your solution?
- Can it be easily implemented in Vietnam?
- Is your model easy to replicate and scale up?
- How big of an impact can it have?
- Does it offer a long-term solution to plastic waste?
- How strong is your team?
