Circular Economy Capacity Training Programme for enterprises 2022

 

With the aim to inspire and deliver practical guidelines for the transition towards circular economy principles and implementation, on June 2, 2022, The Netherlands Embassy in Viet Nam and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) launched the Circular Economy Capacity Building Program for businesses in Viet Nam.

Taking place from June 22 to July 2, 2022, three main activities of the program include:

  • Organized 03 training courses on circular economy for enterprises in Hanoi (and the northern provinces), Thua Thien Hue (and the central provinces) and Ho Chi Minh City (and the southern provinces). When participating in the program, businesses will be provided with knowledge about the circular economy, government policies on circular economy development, and sustainable trade requirements of the EU – Vietnam Free Trade Agreement  (EVFTA), proposed circular economic models, etc. in order to orient the model transformation roadmap for businesses through training Bootcamps conducted by the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment, Environmental Economic Policy Institute (EPPI), Hue Innovation Hub, Institute of Circular Economy Development (ICED) together with Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands.
  • Post-training support for selected businesses in 4 months, with expert advisors. At the end of the training courses, a direct circular economy transformation plan development consulting activity with experts will also be implemented for businesses that are ready and committed to transformation.
  • Provides Toolkits, Technical Guides, and helpful documents to help businesses plan, model, and transform around circular economy principles. Launching a series of lectures on Circular Economy, and related issues such as blockchain, incentive mechanism, wastewater treatment…
