Khung EPR được cập nhật: Bước tiếp theo đối với việc tuân thủ quy định kinh doanh tại Việt Nam là gì?

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in Viet Nam, first introduced under the Law on Environmental Protection and subsequently enforced from January 2024 under Decree 08, as amended by Decree 05, effective from 6 January 2025, and Decree 48, effective from 29 January 2026, represents a cornerstone policy in the country’s transition toward a circular economy. It aligns Viet Nam with global efforts to move away from the linear “take-make-dispose” model toward a more resource-efficient and sustainable system.

While EPR has undoubtedly contributed to Viet Nam’s broader circular economy objectives, a number of practical challenges have emerged that may affect the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the EPR system.

Against this backdrop, this hybrid event aims to equip businesses with actionable insights to navigate compliance requirements effectively, while fostering a shared understanding between regulators and industry on practical implementation pathways.

The session is designed to provide businesses with clear guidance on Viet Nam’s evolving EPR framework, combining regulatory insights with practical considerations from implementation. Participants will gain a structured understanding of applicable obligations, hear directly from authorities on policy direction, and engage in cross-sector dialogue on compliance challenges and emerging solutions.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Gain a clear and structured overview of Viet Nam’s EPR legal and regulatory framework;
  • Receive practical guidance on compliance approaches across sectors;
  • Hear firsthand insights from businesses on implementation challenges and good practices;
  • Identify priority areas for further engagement, advocacy, and capacity building.
