Pursuant to Article 139 of Decree No. 08/2022/ND-CP of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has presided over and coordinated with ministries and agencies. At the ministerial level, the Provincial People’s Committee develops and submits to the Prime Minister for consideration and promulgation of the National Action Plan to implement circular economy. In addition, Decree No. 08/2022/ND-CP also assigns the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to develop and issue a framework to guide the application and assessment of the implementation of circular economy.
The Institute of Strategy and Policy on natural resources and environment is the focal agency operating the Vietnam Circular Economy Hub, assigned by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to develop strategies and policies on circular economy.
In order to support the research process and identify appropriate measures and tools to measure and evaluate the implementation of circular economy in accordance with the law and the Vietnam’s socio-economic conditions, The Institute of Strategy and Policy on natural resources and environment in collaboration with Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Vietnam organized “Workshop on the application of measurement tools and indicators for the circular economy”.
