Reducing plastic waste
Accordingly, the school was constructed at a new kindergarten in the Ngai Phong Cho village, Cao Son commune (Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai). The school, which has distinctive architecture and colors, is totally constructed from recycled plastic waste.
According to Mr. Le Ngoc Duong, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Muong Khuong district, “The school launched today is one of the achievement and contribution in environmental preservation and plastic waste recycling.”
Three classrooms, a kitchen, and two office spaces were erected on this school property, which has a total size of nearly 1,000 m2, to accommodate the teaching and learning requirements of approximately 100 preschoolers. With the determination, efforts, and hard work of the sponsor, the new project was launched on June 1, 2022, and after three months of building, it was finished just in time for the start of the new academic year and the Mid-Fall Festival.

The kindergarten in Ngai Phong Cho village, Cao Son commune, is both a piece of art and a construction project; the surrounding area resembles a vibrant painting among the highland mountains.
With the aid of this project, more than 60 preschoolers in Ngai Phong Cho village will benefit from having classrooms and schools that are spatial and appealing as well as equipped with toys, and other resources for the care, nurturing, and education of the kids of Kindergarten teachers in Cao Son commune. Additionally, this school is a prominent landmark in the Muong Khuong district’s Cao Son commune.

The district 30a in the highlands and border regions known as Muong Khuong is notable for its poverty and the concentration of numerous ethnic minorities there. Many Central Committee officials, provincial leaders, and local authorities have given the district their attention, support, and encouragement.
Particularly promoting the demolition of temporary homes, the development of school buildings, classrooms, and equipment, the alleviation of rural poverty, the care of policy families, those who perform meritorious activities, etc.
It is known that the cost of building this school, including playground equipment, is around 5.5 billion VND, of which 2.2 billion VND is spent on hardware construction.
