Activities in 2022

With a total investment capital of up to 60 million USD, Duy Tan Recycled Plastic Factory has divided its capital investment activities into 3 phases.

Phase 1: From 2020 – 2021: Invest 20 million USD for input materials of about 20,000 tons a year.

Phase 2: From 2022 – 2023: Invest 20 million USD and boost input material sources up to 60,000 tons a year.

Phase 3: From 2024: Invest 20 million USD in input materials up to 100,000 tons a year.

With a factory area of 65,000 m2, certified to ensure production and manufacturing processes meet European EFSA and US FDA standards.

To create quality plastic products as well as reduce the amount of plastic waste in landfills and scrap yards. And protect the environment as well as people’s health.

Promote environmental protection activities

Duy Tan Recycled Plastic Factory is currently one of the factories using recycling technology from plastic bottles to plastic bottles. In the process, the factory recycles old used plastic bottles into new plastic bottles.

Duy Tan Plastic Factory (Duy Tan Recycle) has built a network of more than 80 agents providing old plastic bottles to obtain input materials for the production process. And every day Duy Tan purchases about 60 tons of bottles to provide enough raw materials for the recycling process.

Thus, the factory will produce about 100,000 tons of plastic pellets per year after completing phases 2 and 3. Not only does it recycle PET plastic, but it also recycles many other types of plastic such as HDPE, PP,… The factory will collect products made from these types of plastic such as tables and chairs, plastic cups, clothes racks, etc. to create many other products. From there, minimizing the amount of virgin plastic to produce new products. This means protecting the living environment for people in the country.

The plastic waste recycling process at the Factory is always a hot issue in the world. Because we always face a large amount of waste every day. Therefore, below is the used plastic recycling process of Duy Tan Plastic Factory (Duy Tan Recycle).

Step 1: Proceed to collect plastic waste

This is the first step in the plastic waste recycling process. Collect used plastic products from individual users, businesses, restaurants or from surrounding organizations. Because Duy Tan already has a large input material supply network, Duy Tan already has a plastic collection agent.

Step 2: Sort plastic before recycling

All types of plastic that have gone through the collection step will be sorted and classified separately for each type of plastic. In addition, it is necessary to classify the parts to be recycled according to color, function and thickness after recycling them. Duy Tan Plastic Factory owns a plastic sorting machine “Optical Sorting Machine” to help save time and labor.

Step 3: Wash

Washing off residue from plastic bottles and cleaning them is a very important factor. Because the process will determine about 80% of the quality of recycled plastic pellets. Impurities on plastic bottles directly affect the production of recycled plastic. Therefore, the factory needs to be thoroughly cleaned to remove impurities.

Most plastic bottles are washed but cannot be guaranteed to be 100% clean when it comes to grinding and rolling.

Step 4: Grinding – Chopping – Grinding process

The process of grinding cleaned plastic into small plastic pieces so that they can be recycled more easily. Through the grinder, the process of “shredding” will be carried out into small pieces. They will then be classified based on quality and properties so they can be recycled. This grinding process will also help remove dirty products during the cleaning process.

Step 5: Proceed to recycle crushed plastic

During this process, the factory will test all crushed plastic pieces to ensure they are all qualified for recycling. First, follow the density by putting them in water. Then comes the air classification method (Air Classification). Realize the thickness of recycled plastic particles. And they will be bagged before they are discarded and recycled products are produced.

Step 6: Disinfect and distribute recycled products

This is the final step in Duy Tan Plastic Factory’s plastic recycling process. Products after being recycled into new products will be delivered to customers.
