Seminar on “Green Nordic Solutions for Circular Economy and Waste Management: Nordic Experiences and Policy Implications for Vietnam”

22 March 2023 Online/Offline Vietnamese and English Address: Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management, G Floor, 105 Ton Dat Tien, District 7, HCMC & Virtual platform via Zoom

Circularity, sustainable use of resources and proper waste management will be increasingly important in a world facing reoccurring crises in the wake of climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vietnam has set ambitious goals for addressing climate change. Despite being one of the countries most affected by climate change, Vietnam has an opportunity to lead the region in transitioning to a sustainable, green economy with the help of new technologies and innovations.

On its journey to fully transition to a green economy, Vietnam can learn from the experiences of others. In Nordic societies, there is an emphasis on upholding values of circularity and a clean environment. The Nordics are leading the development of innovative solutions for a green economy and waste management, creating a cleaner and more sustainable region, as well as creating new opportunities for business and society to grow.

March 22 will be an opportunity for Vietnamese scholars, researchers, policy makers, civil society and other key stakeholders to hear about lessons learned from the Nordic countries. We hope you can join us in promoting circularity and a sustainable future for all. Please refer to the attached agenda for further details.

Kindly confirm your preference of participation to huan.nguyen@fulbright.edu.vn before 18 March 2022. Upon registration, a Zoom link will be provided to the online participants.
