Delegates all assessed that Ba Ria – Vung Tau is an interested, drastic and leading locality in implementing circular economy development in recent years. At the same time, there are also enough economic, urban, rural, sea and island models to develop the circular economy, so it is necessary to promote the implementation in the coming time to become a typical example. of the whole country.
Nearly 20 papers and many opinions directly contributed to the province in 2 main parts: Perspectives, guidelines, orientations and international trends on circular economy and green growth; the requirements set for the province to implement the marine economic development strategy, green economy; opportunities and challenges in the development of recirculating livestock production; the unified coordination and cooperation between the government, people and businesses…
With the advantage of Ba Ria – Vung Tau in terms of strategic location with international shipping lanes, diverse and rich natural resources, over the years, the province has maximized its internal strength, taking full advantage of its efficiency. The results of external resources have brought the province’s socio-economic development to strong development.
However, in the development process, there are many problems and challenges that negatively affect the sustainable development of the province such as environmental pollution, illegal fishing, infrastructure, etc. Traffic connections are overloaded, there is a lack of skilled labor… Therefore, the province is focusing on making efforts to implement the circular economy model to overcome the above problems.
Currently, the locality is also proposing and asking the central government to support the pilot implementation of “Application of circular economy for green growth and sustainable development” in Con Dao district.
