With the rapid industrialization in Viet Nam, the demand for water in various industries is increasing, placing pressure on water supply systems. One effective solution to alleviate this pressure is the reuse of wastewater, offering numerous economic and environmental benefits, such as water conservation, financial gains, and reduced environmental impact.
The Workshop on Circular Wastewater held in 2022 by the CE Hub provided valuable knowledge and international experience in wastewater treatment and circular wastewater practices for enterprises, and further highlighted the importance of promoting industrial wastewater reuse among key stakeholders. The dialogue “Bridging policy and industry to close the loop of industrial wastewater” was held in September 2023 to create a platform for dialogue between policymakers and enterprises and facilitate connections among businesses for resource and wastewater exchange.
Building on the successes of previous initiatives, UNDP and the Netherlands Embassy, in collaboration with Institute of Environmental Science and Engineering, Ha Noi University of Civil Engineering, and other partners, will organize the workshop on December 11, 2024, after the CE Forum 2024. This workshop explores current wastewater reuse practices, including opportunities and challenges, to foster collaborations and partnerships for piloting reuse solutions.
