Speaking online at the congress, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan said that we now have to think newer, different and wiser, if we trade costs, including costs of ecology and biodiversity, because we make inorganic inputs for immediate profit, future generations will run out of resources.

Overview of the Congress

Therefore, the time has come for us to work together to create a green, adaptive agriculture for sustainable development, because the world will aim for products that are not only delicious and clean but also have to be labeled with eco-labels, certified to produce no adverse effects on the natural environment.

The Minister emphasized, taking the pioneers in organic agriculture and circular agriculture such as Que Lam Group to connect and spread the models.

Also at the congress, the most discussed opinions clearly stated: building a circular economy, which is identified as one of the country’s development orientations in the 2021-2030 period, aims to achieve dual benefits in terms of economic value and environmental protection. Therefore, for the first time, the phrase “circular economy” was included in the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, with the goal of sustainable development, by actively implementing actions to protect the environment and respond climate change on a large scale, over the next 10 years.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Que Lam Group Nguyen Hong Lam, who has been devoted to pursuing the path of organic agriculture for more than 30 years, was elected by the General Assembly to be the President of the Viet Nam Circular Agriculture Association, term 2021-2026.

Chairman of the Viet Nam Circular Agriculture Association Nguyen Hong Lam shared: The strategic goal by 2026, the Viet Nam Circular Agriculture Association will become a really strong social-professional association; plays a key role in gathering, uniting widely and promoting the creative power of Vietnamese individuals and collectives in all fields, contributing to the development of circular agriculture, bringing agriculture to life. The circular economy has become the driving force for the development of the circular economy, contributing to the country’s sustainable development.

The establishment of the Circular Agriculture Association has a very important meaning, especially in the context that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is implementing the Project on Restructuring the Agricultural Sector and the Project on Development of Organic Agriculture in the period of 2020-2030 towards increasing added value and sustainable development. Accordingly, Viet Nam’s agriculture will be restructured in a smart way, depending on the object of production, depending on the production area to set production goals and apply technology accordingly.
