Quy Nhon City and UNDP have officially launched the Waste Sorting at Source Program and inaugurated the Material Recovery Facility (MRF), marking a significant step forward in promoting circular economy models and waste management in Binh Dinh province.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Dinh Province issued Decision 89/QD-SNN on February 28, 2024 to regulate plastic waste on fishing vessels, establishing a leadership position in the management of plastic waste from fishing activities.

A new scrap collection club has officially launched in Quy Nhon city, bringing together around 200 informal waste buyers and pickers from 10 districts with a primary goal of enhancing the livelihoods of these workers.

October 27th marked milestones in Binh Dinh’s waste management, including the launch of a waste management model in the fisheries industry, the handover of equipment for collecting and transporting plastic waste, and the introduction and connection of the MRF with the informal waste workers.
