Plastic pollution poses one of the greatest threats to our ecosystems, and ASEAN Member States are not exempt from its far-reaching impacts—on the environment, public health, and livelihoods. While regional actions are underway, sustained coordination remains critical.
In response, ACCPP was established as a key regional platform to facilitate knowledge exchange, track progress, and align efforts. First convened in Jakarta in 2023, and following successful editions in Vientiane and Kuala Lumpur, the conference now heads to Manila on 24–25 September, under the Philippines’ 2026 ASEAN Chairmanship. Through this annual gathering, we aim to strengthen regional cooperation and amplify ASEAN’s collective voice in the global fight against plastic pollution.
How to Join the Conference
ACCPP 2026 adopts a hybrid setup. A maximum of 200 in-person seats are available, subject to invitation and confirmation on a first-come-first-served basis. Virtual attendance, however, is open and without restriction.

Convened under the patronage of the Philippines’ Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), co-hosted by ERIA’s Regional Knowledge Centre for Marine Plastic Debris, and supported by Agence Française de Développement (AFD), GIZ Indonesia & ASEAN, Global Plastic Action Partnership – World Economic Forum, and UN Environment Programme (UNEP), ACCPP 2026 is organized under the theme “One Region, One Vision: Advancing Knowledge and Building Regional Capacity to End Plastic Pollution.”
Bringing together government officials from ASEAN Member States, academia, development partners, international bodies, civil society, and the private sector, ACCPP 2026 places knowledge exchange and regional coordination at its core.
