The development of a circular economy is an indispensable requirement of sustainable development in the new context, demonstrating national responsibility in solving global challenges caused by problems, and at the same time contributing to competition capacity of the economy. For businesses, the circular economy helps to make the most of resources; create incentives for investment, technological innovation, reduction of production costs and strengthen supply chains. Therefore, enterprises need to actively develop long-term strategies for the transformation from the traditional business model to the circular business model.
In 2021, the United Nations Development Program in Vietnam (UNDP) in collaboration with the Center for Innovation and Incubation of Foreign Trade University (FIIS) organized the Circular Economy program for businesses and trained successfully 21 businesses with 44 students national wide. Following that success, FTU Innovation and Incubation Center continues to organize the Circular Economy Business Model Transformation Training Program For Business 2022 (CE Bootcamp 2022). CE Bootcamp 2022 aims to equip knowledge and tools on the circular economy, connecting resources, offer comprehensive support to help businesses transform, and create pioneering models to promote circular economy development in the Vietnamese business community.
