The objectives of the conference on circular economy and Eco-Industrial Parks in Viet Nam are multifaceted, aiming to address various aspects of sustainability and economic development. The main objectives are:

  • Raise awareness about policy and action plans on green growth strategies and circular economy approaches and the principles and benefits of circular economy in industrial parks
  • Facilitate policy dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders to develop and implement supportive regulations and practices.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, capacity building, and innovation to effectively support the transition towards sustainable and resilient industrial development in Viet Nam.

The session will focus on the significance of Eco-Industrial Parks (EIPs) as a catalyst for promoting circular economy principles, shedding light on the pivotal role these parks play in driving sustainable development. Expert speakers will also elaborate on how Eco-Industrial Parks serve as dynamic hubs, where industries converge to optimize resource use, minimize waste, foster innovation, and implement EIP approaches. Examples and case studies from Viet Nam and other countries will be presented.
