The final session of the webinar series, titled “Making Circularity Work in Cities” will take place on Thursday 20 July 2023, 14:00 – 16:00 ICT.
Cities are drawing up action plans to become more circular for a sustainable future in response to the challenges of environmental pollution, rapid urbanization, and climate change.
Sustainable circular cities not only offer economic benefits, but also foster social inclusion which provides job and capacity building opportunities for the vulnerable, improves the affordability of circular goods and serves, etc.
During this session, the speakers will showcase various examples and case studies from cities in Viet Nam and the world that have embarked on the circular transition, as well as lessons learned from developing a roadmap for a sustainable circular municipality.
This session will feature insightful topics from esteemed speakers as follows:
- “Circular Economy Initiatives in the City of Pasig” – Atty. Diego Luis S. Santiago, Deputy City Administrator of Pasig City
- “A practical approach to proposing a circular economy roadmap for Thua Thien Hue” – Mr. Cao Quoc Hai, Vice Director, Hue Innovation Hub
- “Developing a circular economy roadmap in Da Nang: Key insights and lessons learned” – Ms. Bui Ngoc Nhu Nguyet, Chief of Staff, Da Nang Institute for Socio-Economic Development (DISED)
- “Bioclimatic and circular trajectory for the major Parisian train stations” – Mr. Fabien Clavier, Head of International Development, AREP
