02/11/2022 - 26/11/2022 Online Vietnamese

The circular economy is currently considered an inevitable trend that promotes global development. It attracts the attention and support of many countries and organizations. However, the circular economy mindset needs to be promoted not only in the present time but also throughout the future.

As a result, it is necessary to convey the circular economy mindset to the youth, help them aware of the ongoing social problems, change their living and consuming habits, and motivate them to learn and innovate for the benefit of individuals and society.

With the desire to apply it in Thua Thien Hue, where Hue Circular Economy Hub together with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Viet Nam and Viet Nam Circular Economy Hub (CE Hub) are making efforts to promote the local circular economy, the “Innovative Ideas Contest for Society for Youth 2022 was held.

The contest was organized by Hue Innovation Hub, together with Viet Nam Circular Economy Hub, Thua Thien Hue Institute for Development Studies and Hue Circular Economy Hub. It took place from November 2, 2022 to December 15, 2022 with preliminary round – voting round – final round.

The contest aims to find ideas for building Hue into a pioneer city that implements circular and innovative solutions that improve the green – clean living environment and eco-friendly products consumption that does not impact the environment negatively.

Students can use the media, come up with products that follow the circular economy principles or activity ideas at school to spread the circular economy mindset to the community around them.
